N.Andrew Walsh

N. Andrew Walsh, born 1978, studied music composition at Indiana University Bloomington (BM 2000), UC San Diego (MA 2002), and SUNY at Buffalo (PhD 2009); and musicology at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (MA 2012; D.Phil. 2020).His work focuses on ergodic scores and other attainments of the postwar avant-garde. He plays contrabassoon, has translated several collections of writings from the German-speaking new-music world, and has worked as librettist and dramaturge for a number of critically acclaimed new-music projects. He resides in Berlin.
